I love Montauk! Such an easy fun getaway from Brooklyn. On a recent trip, one day I got up obscenely early (4:30 am!). Since I couldn’t go back to sleep, I ended up walking on the beach, found tons of whole nautilus shells and watched the sun rise. Nature is an endless source of design inspiration, especially the muted color combinations seen in a shell or the perfect mix of warm and cool colors in a rock sitting next to driftwood.

Also included in this post are images of a gorgeous modern home, ruschmeyers hotel and restaurant and the new bronze Ronjo! Ronjo is a classic Montauk motel located smack in the middle of town that has just gotten a major facelift and a new name – The Montauk Beach House. Owned by Chris Jones and Larry Siedlick, and designed by Jones with creative director Walt Linveld.
