Cinde and Kyong met while working at an architecture firm in Manhattan and soon became friends and collaborators in and out of the office.

Kyong Yun has a great love and deep appreciation for all design fields and wishes she could do everything. She loves to see a bare space or idea develop into a thoughtful and beautiful product. Kyong graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology and Pratt Institute with degrees in Architecture. She has worked for several architecture firms in New York City including Skidmore Owings and Merrill and Gensler. Her experiences encompass a wide variety of projects from luxury retail including Dior and Louis Vuitton to educational as well as high end residential projects. Kyong is a LEED accredited professional.

Cinde Meade is an interior designer based in Brooklyn. Her personal design philosophy is to find simple solutions that allow people to live life with ease in a beautiful environment. Addressing functional issues alongside aesthetics is key. Her passion for design has enabled her to explore a variety of building typologies from high end residential to luxury retail (including Dior and Louis Vuitton) and hospitality design for W, Four Seasons and The James, as well as corporate interiors. She has a masters degree from Pratt Institute and has worked for several prestigious architectural firms, including Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. In addition to extensive experience, Cinde also brings a sincere love of design and curiosity about how things work and how organizations function. Cinde is a LEED accredited professional and a licensed interior designer in New York State.

Cinde’s passion for design is equally matched with a passion for sustainability. After an inspirational workshop in The Natural Step Framework, Cinde and several other individuals formed a group called The Sustainers and began sustainability educational outreach programs including a lecture series, sustainable roundtable dinners and Greenshops (personal sustainability workshops). Cinde spearheaded the organization of the Interdependent Film Series: Exploring the Interdependence of Global Cultures, Economies and the Environment. The combination of dynamic speakers and powerful films clarified issues surrounding the topics of Environmental Justice, Biodiversity and Design. Cinde has also served on the Host Committee of the Small Planet Fund Annual Fundraiser since the fund’s inception and is an active member of her CSA.
